Welcome to the Simile model repository. Please use the links below to find models catalogued by:

Currently, there are some 63+ models in the catalogue, from simple to complex. Some models illustrate a particular Simile technique; others are generic models (such as for population dynamics), while others have been developed in a specific context.

Most pages contain the model diagram, the equations and sample output, as well as the model to download. However, in some cases one or other items may be absent. In particular, for a couple of models, only the ‘red’ model diagram (indicating an incomplete model) is included, for illustrative purposes only.

We welcome any feedback on the formatting, content etc, and on any errors you find when using the catalogue. The html pages are generated automatically from an underlying database, so it is easy for us to change any aspect of the catalogue in response to your feedback.

Plans for future developments of the model catalogue include:

• a web-based tool to capture the required information on each model;
• the ability for model contributors to publish entries for the catalogue on their own web server, from where we will automatically collate the information;
• automatic generation of part of the text entry for each model from the model itself (e.g. number of compartments; names of compartments, flows and variables).
