Simile does not start

Hi,

My problem is simple. Simile  5x does not start. It shows the splash-screen but after that, nothing. I have tried to install Simile on a Windows XP SP3 virtual computer and on a normal computer. Neither works.

I assume this is Simile 5.7p4 Evaluation edition? Firstly, can you check that the file has downloaded completely -- it should be 14450999 bytes. If that's not the problem, it may be that there are some unusual characters in your personal info that are causing it -- the Evluation version will get this straight from your Windows registration info. Please find this under Control Panel -> Performance and maintenance -> See basic information... -> General (in WinXP SP3), and email it to support@simulistics.com if you suspect it might be causing a problem.
