Simile runs on a wide range of operating systems.
- Simile for Windows supports Microsoft Windows 98, Me, NT, 2000, XP and Vista.
- Simile for Mac supports MacOS 10.3 and later, running natively on both Intel and PowerPC hardware.
- Simile for Linux will run on all graphics-based Linux and FreeBSD platforms(x86 architecture), and is compatible with the Gnome and KDE desktops.
Simile can be built to order for other Unix architectures.
