Task list

Make new version of Simile available to from UberCart downloads

Make new version of Simile available to from UberCart downloads

Orphan forum posts can be created

Forum posts that do not belong to a specific forum can be created from

  • the main forum page
  • create content menu

These posts can then only be found from the Recent forum post list on the front page.

Update to 5.14 and any modules

Security updates.

Turn off WYSIWYG (fckeditor) for certain pages

Under the edit area titled Body that you want to exclude from fckeditor

Install and test out Ubercart to handle sales

Now installed. Modified user page orders tab so that permission is required to see them. This allows Ubercart to be installed and played with before general users can see it. Submitted patch to Ubercart project .. see that for documentation.

Possible fatal flaw is that invoices show order number but not invoice number. They may not be the same.

Make own modifiaction?

Worked example, Descriptive statistics missing its files

Should this even be a worked examples? Just in the catalogue?

Add presentations to Drupal Documentation page

http://www.simulistics.com/drupal/documentation.htm

Presentations

These presentations are provided, “as is”, in case they may be found useful. They were made for Simile version 3 and so the screen shots are out of date, however, the concepts remain the same.

Import PHPBB forums

Can't import existing users

  • change phpbb simulistics members new names $(oldname)BB
  • delete phpbb users that haven't posted

Drupal Forums not limited to a group but posts are.

Add page with existing on-line help in an iframe and a help menu block

Before we get the Drupal-book-based-help we need the old help on the website - it should have some bring up to date with version 5 (Simile twiki topic). Instead of a frameset us an iframe. Anybody know of any reasons why not?

We can have a left-bar menu for the help - an improvement on the original website.

Change comment settings

  • make previewing optional rather than required (WYSIWYG editing anyway)
  • remove new title for comments, Robert didn't like the comment titles because it makes a comment more of a post in its own right, me too
  • enable the comment listing controls to be shown with the comment listing, display mode (flat or threaded), sort order, number of comments on a page. I've enable it above and below the list
  •

Done

Updating modules

  1. Download the new version of the module .tgz and place on simulistics.com, e.g. in the home directory, i.e. our top level directory
  2. unpack the module tgz file, e.g. tar -zxf  sitedoc-5.x-1.7.tar.gz
  3. Take Drupal offline if it will inot mpinge on users, Admin -> Site maintenance
  4. delete the old module from /simulistics.com/drupal/sites/all/modules
  5. mv (move) the unpacked new module to /simulistics.com/drupal/sites/all/modules, e.g.
    (uiserver):u45169214:~ > mv sitedoc simulistics.com/drupal/sites/all/modules

fckeditor takes ages to load html

The editor itself appears quickly enough but it then takes ages before the text appears to be edited

Update Organic groups module

To og 5.x-7.1 change an update function for more robust enabling of og_access module.

Fix Simulating Pastoral Livelihoods case study images

Originals are too big. Displaying them as 650 px wide fits the page well bugt the text in the diagram is unreadable.

Move all Simile issues to Core Simile and delete the former project

The Simile project is now outside the project hieracchy and should be superceeded by the Core Simile project.

The issues should bemoved by editing the database table directly. Not by editing issues.

Who we are – make more anti-capitalist friendly

Re-phrase  "small entrepreneurial organisation"

Move tags to the top of the page

With Drupal, tags are listed at the bottom of the page but they are important immediate information so should be moved to the top of the page.

I expect a Drupal template will have to be customised.
