V 5.6 under windows not starting

Hello!

I recently the downloaded V5.6 demo version for windows.  I am running under XP Professional service pack 3 on a Dell laptop. 

Similie starts, shows the "splash screen", and then quits.  When I run task manager, I can see a process running for simile.exe, but no application.

Any help would be appriciated.

Thanks for that, Will. I have found and fixed an issue that could have caused your problem. Only the evaluation version was affected. I have now created a new evaluation version and uploaded it to our site in place of the old one.

Could you please try downloading and installing it again?
